LANSING, February 3, 2000 — Alvin Fox of Tekonsha recently got the surprise of a lifetime when he scratched off a Michigan Lottery "Cash Bonus" instant ticket to reveal he had won a $25,000 top prize!

The 49-year-old winner purchased the winning ticket at Wheatfield Market, 15530 11 Mile Road, in Battle Creek. Fox was shocked to learn he had won so much money.

"When I scratched the ticket off I couldn’t believe it," Fox said. "I was very surprised! I was so happy, I came to the Lottery office in Lansing right away to collect my prize."

When not playing sports or euchre, Fox said he enjoys playing Michigan Lottery games. He added that he has been playing Lottery games for the past 20 years, and his favorites are Michigan Lotto, The Big Game, Daily 3, and of course, the instant games.

Fox, a dairy worker at D & D Farms, said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills.

"Cash Bonus" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
