Annette Moss-Sklapsky of Eaton Rapids Screamed With Joy After Winning Top Prize in Lottery's "Hearts of Gold" Instant Game!

LANSING, August 16, 1999 — Annette Moss-Sklapsky of Eaton Rapids was in total shock when she scratched off a Michigan Lottery "Hearts of Gold" instant ticket to reveal she had won the $30,000 top prize!

The 35-year-old winner purchased the lucky ticket at Admiral Petroleum Co. #14, 919 S. Main Street, in Eaton Rapids. Moss-Sklapsky said she was in complete disbelief when she saw what she had won.

"I called my mother-in-law right away to tell her," she said. "I then ran over to the neighbors, jumping up and down and screaming! I was so nervous — I only slept for about two hours that night."

The nursing attendant at Ingham County Medical Facility said she has been a regular instant Lottery game player for many years.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, Moss-Sklapsky kept it in a water pitcher and basin set to ensure its safety. The lucky lady plans to use her winnings to pay bills and take her children school shopping.

"Hearts of Gold" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
