LANSING, October 30, 1998 – Frederick Pfromm of Garden City recently got the surprise of his life when he won a $25,000 prize on a Michigan Lottery "Surprise Package" instant ticket.

Pfromm purchased the winning ticket at F & H Service, Inc., 32271 Ford Road, in Garden City.

"I scratched off the ticket and was surprised to see that I had won," Pfromm said.  "I was in shock!"

Pfromm, a regular Lottery player for the past 20 years, recently claimed his prize at the Lottery’s regional office in Redford Township.  Until the day he actually turned his winning ticket in, he kept it in a safe in his house.

The 51-year-old self-employed auto mechanic enjoys putting together puzzles and camping in his free time.  He said he plans to share his winnings with his family and pay bills.
