LANSING, March 30, 1998 – Lawrence DeBattista of Jackson believes in beginner’s luck – his "easy pick" ticket matched the first five numbers in the February 6 Big Game drawing to win the $150,000 prize!

"This was the first time I played the Big Game!" said DeBattista, a regular Lotto and instant game player.  "I didn’t even check the winning numbers until three days after the drawing!"

The winning numbers in the February 6 Big Game drawing were: 4, 9, 15, 23, 29, and the Big Money Ball number was 1.

DeBattista, a 59-year-old retired materials manager, said he will share some of his prize money with family members and make investments.  He enjoys restoring and selling antiques.

The winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket was purchased at Southside Super Deli, 2000 Brooklyn Road, in Jackson.

The Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
