LANSING, March 23, 1998 – The Michigan Lottery paid out more than $10 million on a game this weekend, and it wasn’t Michigan Lotto!  The lucky game for Michigan Lottery players was the Daily 4, with the second-highest percentage payout in Daily Game history.

On Saturday, March 21, the number 1-0-1-0 was drawn in the Daily Game evening drawing, with 3,952 winning tickets splitting a $10,226,168 prize pool.  That amounts to a payout of 1,514 percent of sales for that drawing – the second highest in Daily Game history.  The No. 1 percentage payout in the Daily 4 game is for the number 1-0-2-8, which was drawn May 14, 1993 and had a payout of $15,096,996 or 2,227.1 percent of sales.

"This is exciting for the Lottery to award so many prizes in one drawing!" said Michigan Lottery Commissioner Bill Martin. "I know that our regional offices have been extremely busy processing claims from winning Daily 4 players throughout the state."
