Daughter’s advice helps player win $777,777!

The player bought the Best of 7’s instant game ticket for two reasons: his favorite tickets to purchase are scratch off games, and his little daughter told him that seven was a lucky number. That’s how the player, who wishes to remain anonymous, won $777,777! “It’s a very exciting time,” he said.

The player plans to use the money to pay off his mortgage and buy a new car.

The winning ticket was sold at Fort & First Service Inc. located at 460 W. Fort St. in Detroit.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.

Fantasy becomes reality of cold hard cash for $105,000 winner!

When this Michigan Lottery player had a little extra time during a recent shopping trip, she decided to check her Fantasy 5 numbers. She asked a clerk to double check her ticket for her and when he did, she couldn’t believe the clerk’s response. She had matched all five numbers that made her the lucky winner of the Fantasy 5 game’s $105,000 jackpot for the March 31 drawing.

The newly retired player, who wishes to remain anonymous, was “very excited” when she found out about her win. In fact, she couldn’t sleep during the weekend as she waited for the Lottery office to open on Monday so she could claim her prize.

She plans to use her winnings for home improvement projects.

The winning ticket was sold at Vinny’s Market located at 6011 Lakeshore Rd. in Lakeport.

Old wives tale helps player win $250,000!

Paul Walker claims his $250,000 Mega Millions prize at Lottery Headquarters.

There is an old wives tale that says an itching hand means you’ll come into money. For a couple of days, Paul Walker‘s hand would not stop itching. So Walker decided to buy a Mega Millions Lottery ticket. His “itch” proved to be right and he won $250,000!

Walker plans to use his winnings to pay off debts and do some investing to prepare for retirement.

The winning ticket was sold at Next Door Store #42 located at 3520 E. Isabella Rd. in Midland.

Although the amazing weather Michiganders’ experienced in mid-March has returned south, the chill in the air didn’t seem to interfere with this avid Lottery player’s ability to win in the April 1st Fantasy 5 drawing!
