The Michigan Lottery is celebrating a Macomb County man’s online Fantasy 5 jackpot win with a special free play offer today.

The Lottery is offering $5 in free play and 5,000 Players Club reward points to all new online players who use the promo code FANTASY when they sign up for an account. The 5,000 rewards points may be redeemed for a $10 Fantasy 5 coupon that may be used at any Lottery retailer. The special offer promo code will be available for a limited time at MichiganLottery.com. Players who already have an online Lottery account should log in to their account on Friday for $5 in free games available to claim until 7 a.m. on Saturday. Macomb County Man Wins Fantasy 5 Jackpot with Ticket Bought Online

Fantasy 5 with EZMatchA Macomb County man “froze” after winning an $110,083 Fantasy 5 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, was one of two players who matched the Fantasy 5 numbers drawn on Oct. 4: 06-20-21-22-37. The player bought his winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com. The other jackpot winning ticket was bought at the 7-Eleven, located at 3305 North Main Street in Royal Oak.

“I had the Fantasy 5 numbers paused on my TV screen and I opened up my computer to check my numbers,” said the player. “When I saw that I had matched all five, I froze for about 10 minutes. I just couldn’t believe it was real.”

After letting his big win sink in, the player called his family to share the good news.

“My immediate family knows I won, but I’m not planning to tell anyone else,” said the player. “I’m planning to take a trip and then put the rest away for an earlier retirement.

“Winning the Lottery is overwhelming at first, but once I settled down I got really excited about the difference it will make in my life.”

Wayne County Man Wins $166,751 Fantasy 5 Jackpot

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, won the big prize by matching the Fantasy 5 numbers drawn on Sunday: 05-07-09-17-31. He bought his winning ticket at Jerry’s Party Store, located at 28940 Warren Road in Westland.

“I checked my numbers in the paper first thing this morning and couldn’t believe I had matched all five,” said the player. “My wife wasn’t home when I found out I won, so I called her to tell her.

“I was stuttering really bad and could barely speak. She kept asking if I was alright. She thought I was having a stroke.”

After the player assured his wife that he was fine, he told her they would need to drive to Lansing to claim his prize.

The retired firefighter and his wife visited Lottery headquarters today to claim his prize. He plans to share his windfall with his family and take his wife on a vacation.

$1 Million Winning Mega Millions Ticket Bought in Taylor

A lucky player matched the five white balls drawn – 24-37-42-50-65 – in Friday’s drawing to win a $1 million prize. The winning ticket was bought at Mac’s II, located at 22399 Northline Road in Taylor.

The $1 million winner from Friday’s Mega Millions drawing should contact the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to collect the big prize. The prize must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing. Tickets for Mega Millions are valid for one year from the drawing date.

Mega Millions drawings take place each Tuesday and Friday evening. Each Mega Millions play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, players have the opportunity to add a “Megaplier” that can multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tickets for Mega Millions drawings may be purchased at the Lottery’s 11,000 retailers around the state until 10:45 p.m. the day of the drawing.
