The 67-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the July 3 drawing to win the big prize: 08-19-27-31-39. She bought her winning ticket at the Meijer store, located at 250 Meijer Drive in Gaylord.

“I went up north on a camping trip for Fourth of July weekend and bought a Fantasy 5 ticket while I was at the store,” said the player. “The next morning, on the Fourth of July, I checked the winning numbers on MichiganLottery.com and was so excited when I found out I won the big jackpot! I told some of the people at the surrounding campsites, so it was fun to celebrate with everyone.”

The lucky player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her jackpot. With her winnings, she plans to fix up her home, start college funds for her grandchildren, and take her family to Disney.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $110,000 in the nightly Double Play drawing. “I buy a Fast Cash ticket almost every day, and I bought this one while I was out to eat one night,” said the lucky 65-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I didn’t think I won anything, but I asked the bartender to scan the ticket for me. She said it came back with a message to file a claim, so I would have to call the Lottery office Monday morning to figure out what’s going on.

“The next morning, I got a call from the bartender telling me they sold a jackpot winning Fast Cash ticket the night before, so to look my ticket over again because that may be why the message to file a claim came up. My first thought was that she was lying to me because I thought it was impossible that I may have won. When I looked my ticket over again and saw I really was the big winner, I couldn’t help but cry!”

The player bought her winning ticket at Millington Inn, located at 8487 State Road in Millington. Millington is about 25 miles southeast of Saginaw. She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to complete some home improvements and invest.

“Even though I’m at the Lottery office claiming my prize, I keep waiting for someone to tell me this isn’t real because I still can’t wrap my head around it,” said the player.

“I was at Kroger and a worker was stocking the Lottery kiosk with tickets when I walked by, so on my way back by the machine I stopped to buy a few,” said the 79-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I bought five Smokin’ Hot Million tickets and scratched them when I got home later that day.

“When I scratched off the $1 million prize, I sat there and stared at the ticket for a while and then told my husband that I just won big. When he asked how big, I told him: ‘I think I just won $1 million.’ He didn’t believe me until he looked the ticket over himself. After that, we surprised our kids by inviting them over and showing them the ticket. Winning is exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between!”

Tuscola County Man Wins $500,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s Detroit Tigers Instant Game

“I stopped at the gas station to buy a Triple Red 777s ticket, but they were sold out, so I told the cashier to give me a Detroit Tigers ticket instead,” said the 57-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “It was hard to believe when I saw I’d won $500,000, but after looking the ticket over several times, I told myself it must be real.

“I signed the ticket and took it back into the store to have the cashier check it. After she scanned it, she handed it back and said: ‘Looks like you have to go to Lansing for this one!’ Winning $500,000 is an answered prayer and still hasn’t fully sunk in.”

The player bought his winning ticket at the Speedway gas station, located at 1001 West Caro Road in Caro. Caro is about 30 miles east of Saginaw. He recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to help his family and invest.

Players have won more than $11 million playing the Detroit Tigers instant game, which launched in April. Each $5 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $500,000. More than $19 million in prizes remain, including two $500,000 top prizes and six $2,000 prizes.
