Lottery retailers throughout the state are selling Powerball tickets until 9:58 p.m. Saturday. Tickets also may be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com.

Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Powerball ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $10 million in the nightly Double Play drawing.

Genesee County Woman Wins $500,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s Triple Red 777s Instant Game

“I found some extra money in my pocket, so I stopped at the store to buy a lottery ticket,” said the 38-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I usually only play the Cashword scratch off tickets, but the store was out of all their Cashword games and Triple Red 777s caught my eye.

“I didn’t think I won anything at first, but I looked the ticket over one more time to be sure. When I saw the $500,000 win, my chest tightened up and I started shaking. You never think it will be you who wins the big one, and I still can’t believe I won!”

The player bought her winning ticket at Miller Road Sunoco, located at 3265 Miller Road in Flint. She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her prize. With her winnings, she plans to buy a house and a new car.

Players have won more than $16 million playing the Triple Red 777s instant game, which launched in March. Each $5 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $500,000. More than $14 million in prizes remain, including two $500,000 top prizes and 18 $2,500 prizes.

In 2024, Lottery players won nearly $1.8 billion playing instant games.

Kent County Man Wins $714,891 Super Lucky 7s Fast Cash Progressive Jackpot

Winning TicketA Kent County man turned a $300 Fast Cash prize into a $714,891 progressive jackpot prize playing the Super Lucky 7s Fast Cash game.

“I usually play scratch off tickets, but I bought a $30 Jumbo Jackpot Slots Fast Cash ticket on a whim and ended up winning $300,” said the lucky 39-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “When I cashed that ticket, I used $20 of my winnings to buy a Super Lucky 7s ticket.

“I scanned the ticket on the Michigan Lottery app and started shaking when I saw I’d won $714,891. The first thing I did was walk over and give the cashier a hug!”

The player bought his winning ticket at Exit 76 – Meadowbrooke, located at 4919 Town Center Court Southeast in Grand Rapids. He recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills, put some into his children’s college funds, and then save the remainder.
