A Wayne County woman’s “gut feeling” that she would win a jackpot prize proved true when she won a $403,069 jackpot playing the Michigan Jackpot online instant game.

“Michigan Jackpot is my favorite online game, and I’ve been pretty lucky playing it, so I had a gut feeling that I would win the jackpot one day,” said the player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I was in the middle of playing and started screaming and crying when the winning amount of $403,069 popped up on the screen! Winning such a large prize is overwhelming, exciting, and a huge blessing.”

The 48-year-old player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings she plans to pay bills and invest.

There’s a huge pile of cash up for grabs in the Powerball jackpot, which stands at $750 million for tonight’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $338.6 million.

If a player wins tonight’s jackpot, it would be the largest Powerball jackpot won in more than a year and the 10th largest Powerball jackpot ever won. Tonight’s drawing will be the 37th drawing since the jackpot was last won on May 31 when one ticket purchased in California won the $204.5 million jackpot.

The Powerball jackpot was last won in Michigan on Jan. 1, 2024, by a Mid-Michigan lottery club. The club won a $842.4 million Powerball jackpot with a ticket purchased in Grand Blanc. That jackpot is the largest Powerball prize ever won in Michigan.

Lottery retailers throughout the state are selling Powerball tickets until 9:58 p.m. tonight. Tickets also may be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com.

Genesee County Woman Wins $500,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s Triple Red 777s Instant Game
