Clinton County Man Wins $125,514 Monthly Jackpot Progressive Prize

Winner graphicA Clinton County man said winning a $125,514 Monthly Jackpot Progressive prize from the Michigan Lottery couldn’t have happened at a better time.

The lucky 49-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, won $125,514 after he was selected in a random drawing that took place Jan. 11. He earned entries into the giveaway by playing the Monthly Jackpot game online at MichiganLottery.com.

“I had been playing the Monthly Jackpot game quite a bit, and I knew there was a second chance associated with playing, but I wasn’t sure what the second chance prize was,” said the player. “I got an email and a call from the Lottery one day informing me I’d won the second chance jackpot, and I didn’t think it was real. It still feels surreal and hasn’t sunk in yet.

“I haven’t told my family that I won yet, so I plan to surprise them by showing them the check. This couldn’t have happened at a better time for our family!”

The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills and take a vacation.

The Monthly Jackpot and Mystery Vault online instant games include a second chance progressive jackpot drawing. Part of every purchase of the Monthly Jackpot and Mystery Vault games funds one progressive jackpot prize which is awarded in a second chance drawing each month. Players earn one entry for every $0.50 wagered playing the Monthly Jackpot or Mystery Vault games. After the entry period has closed, a random drawing takes place with one jackpot winner being selected from all entries for that month.

Nine Monthly Jackpot Progressive prizes have been awarded since the game began in April:

  • April 2022 – $338,256 progressive jackpot prize
  • May 2022 – $178,116 progressive jackpot prize
  • June 2022 – $139,221 progressive jackpot prize

Entries are only valid for the entry period in which they were earned. Each month, a new drawing period begins, and the progressive jackpot is reset to $5,000. The next drawing will take place March 8.

Kent County Woman Wins $450,000 on the Michigan Lottery’s The Big Spin Show

A Kent County woman is looking forward to financial independence after winning $450,000 on the Michigan Lottery’s The Big Spin show.

Billi Thielke, of Sand Lake, won the big prize after spinning the prize wheel on The Big Spin show hosted by Detroit basketball champion, John Salley. Thielke was selected to participate in the show after entering codes from non-winning The Big Spin tickets online.

“When I got the call from the Lottery informing me that I was selected as a contestant, I couldn’t believe it,” said Thielke. “As soon as I got off the phone, I got in my car and drove to my husband’s work to tell him the good news!

“Words can’t describe what it means to me to be here and to be leaving with $450,000. Winning is amazing and will allow us to be financially independent. With the winnings, we plan to purchase a new truck and then save the remainder.”

Oakland County Man Wins $500,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s Cashword Times 10 Instant Game

Winning TicketTrying out different instant games paid off for an Oakland County man who won $500,000 playing the Cashword Times 10 instant game.

The lucky 25-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased his winning ticket at Busatti Party Store, located at 12868 Eureka Road in Southgate.

“I like playing all of the instant games, so whenever I am at the store, I pick a different game to try,” said the player. “While I was at the store one day, I decided to try the Cashword Times 10 game. I scanned the ticket right away and got a message to file a claim, so I went out to my car to scratch it. When I saw I’d won $500,000, I called my family right away to tell them the good news! It was such an amazing feeling.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim his prize. He plans to invest his winnings.

Players have won more than $46 million playing Cashword Times 10 which launched in February 2022. Each $10 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $500,000. More than $12 million in prizes remain, including one $500,000 top prize and six $1,000 prizes.

Lottery instant games may be purchased at any of the 10,500 retailers across the state.

Huron County Woman Wins $1 Million on the Michigan Lottery’s The Big Spin Show

A Huron County woman is planning a big celebration in her hometown after winning $1 million on the Michigan Lottery’s The Big Spin show.

Aimee Krull, of Port Austin, won the big prize after spinning the prize wheel on The Big Spin show hosted by Detroit basketball champion, John Salley. Krull was selected to participate in the show after entering codes from non-winning The Big Spin tickets online.

“When I saw the Lottery caller ID come up on my phone, I knew instantly that I had been selected to be on The Big Spin show and started crying,” said Krull. “I have so many emotions running through me after winning $1 million. It is such a dream! I am going to have a big party in Port Austin to celebrate with everyone.

“With my winnings, I plan to purchase a car, complete home improvements, and take a vacation. Winning this prize provides a sense of financial relief.”

Livingston County Man Wins $1.15 Million Lotto 47 Jackpot

Winning TicketWinning a $1.15 million Lotto 47 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery is still sinking in for a Livingston County man.

The lucky 64-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the winning Lotto 47 numbers drawn Jan. 7 to win the jackpot: 02-09-20-22-24-39. He bought his winning ticket at the Kroger store, located at 9700 Chilson Commons Circle in Pinckney. Pinckney is about 20 miles northwest of Ann Arbor.

“I play Lotto 47 often and I always play my special sets of numbers made up of my kid’s birthdates,” said the player. “I was checking the winning numbers online the day after the drawing, and when I realized I’d won the jackpot, I couldn’t believe it! I called my kids right away to tell them the good news, and they didn’t believe it either. Winning still feels unreal and hasn’t sunk in quite yet.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim the big prize. He chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $797,000 rather than annuity payments for the full amount. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills, share with his family, and then save the remainder.

Each Lotto 47 play is only $1. Players select six numbers from one to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot starting at $1 million and that grows until someone wins it. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Lotto 47 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $1.5 million in the nightly Double Play drawing. For an additional $1 per game, players may add EZMatch to their ticket for a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Lotto 47 drawings take place on Wednesday and Saturday at 7:29 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at a retailer or online at MichiganLottery.com until 7:08 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
