Jackson County Woman Wins $100,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s Robo Cash Instant Game Online


A Jackson County woman’s favorite game proved lucky for a second time when she won $100,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Robo Cash online instant game.

“Robo Cash is my favorite game because I’ve had a lot of luck playing it,” said the 76-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “A few years ago, I won $50,000 playing Robo Cash, so I have continued to play it ever since.

“While I was playing, I saw $10,000 come up on the screen with a 10X multiplier. I didn’t realize how much I’d won until the $100,000 prize came up on the screen, and then I started freaking out. I still can’t believe I won big for a second time playing Robo Cash!”

The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim the big prize. She plans to save her winnings.

Michigan Lottery players have a chance to win up to $500,000 instantly playing online. Players also may win prizes ranging from $1 up to multimillion-dollar jackpots playing Powerball, Mega Millions, Lucky for Life, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 online. Michigan Lottery Player Wins $25,000 a Year for Life Playing Lucky For Life; Winning Ticket Bought in Belmont

Lucky For LifeA Michigan Lottery player is waking up to a lifetime of cash after winning $25,000 a year for life playing Lucky For Life.

A ticket matched the five white balls drawn Tuesday night – 10-17-26-28-30 – to win the big prize. The winning ticket was bought at the J&H Family Store, located at 1604 Post Dr. Northeast in Belmont. Belmont is about 10 miles north of Grand Rapids. This is the fifth time this year a Michigan player has won a lifetime prize playing Lucky For Life.

The lucky winner has two choices to collect the big prize:

  • Annual $25,000 payments for a minimum of 20 years or life, whichever is greater, or
  • A one-time lump sum cash payment of $390,000

The lucky winner should contact the Michigan Lottery Player Relations Division at 844-887-6836, option 2 to schedule an appointment to collect the big prizes. The prize must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing. Lucky For Life tickets are valid for one year from the drawing date.

For just $2 per play, Lucky For Life gives Lottery players a chance to win prizes ranging from $3 to a lifetime of cash. To win the game’s top prize of $1,000 a day for life, players must match all five winning numbers ranging from 1 to 48, plus one Lucky Ball ranging from 1 to 18. Players who match all five winning numbers, but not the Lucky Ball, will win $25,000 a year for life. Drawings take place at 10:38 p.m. seven days-a-week. Tickets may be purchased at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com.

Wayne County Lottery Club Wins $1 Million Powerball Prize from the Michigan Lottery

Winning TicketA Wayne County lottery club has won a $1 million Powerball prize from the Michigan Lottery.

The three-person 1029 Lottery Club matched the five white balls in the Oct. 29, 2022 drawing to win the big prize: 19-31-40-46-57. They bought their winning ticket at Billy’s Liquor Depot II, located at 27222 Grand River Avenue in Redford.

The prize was won during the world record $2.4 billion Powerball jackpot run. The jackpot run began with the Aug. 6, 2022, drawing and ended with the Nov. 7, 2022, drawing when one ticket purchased in California won the record setting $2.04 billion jackpot. During the jackpot run, Michigan Lottery players purchased more than 43 million tickets at retailers and won more than $18 million in prizes, including nine $1 million prizes:

  • Aug. 24 – Meijer gas station, located at 8994 Shaver Road in Portage
  • Sept. 24 – Otsego Party Store, located at 629 South Farmer Street in Otsego
  • Oct. 19 – Fast Freddie’s, located at 2245 Main Street in Ubly
  • Oct. 26 – Charaf Oil Inc, located at 7000 Greenfield Road in Dearborn
  • Oct. 29 – New Buffalo Shell, located at 18913 Laporte Road in New Buffalo
  • Oct. 29 – Billy’s Liquor Depot II, located at 27222 Grand River Avenue in Redford
  • Oct. 31 – CVS Pharmacy, located at located at 626 West Front Street in Traverse City
  • Nov. 5 – K&G Deli, located at 5625 Conner Street in Detroit
  • Nov. 8 – Country Corner Supermarket, located at 10039 Buchanan Road in Stanwood

The last Michigan player to win a Powerball jackpot was Cristy Davis, of Waterford. Davis won the game’s $70 million jackpot on Feb. 12, 2020.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on April 19. One ticket bought in Ohio won the $252.6 million jackpot. The current jackpot stands at $400 million.

Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Powerball ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $10 million in the nightly Double Play drawing.

Dueling Jackpots: Mega Millions and Powerball Jackpots Give Players a Chance at More Than $647 Million

Mega Millions Logo Cash is still piling up in the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots, offering Michigan Lottery players a chance at more than $647 million this weekend.

The Mega Millions jackpot currently stands at $281 million for tonight’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $145.2 million. If a player wins tonight’s Mega Million jackpot, it would be the third largest Mega Millions jackpot won this year. The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in April, when one ticket purchased in New York matched the five white balls and Mega ball to win a $20 million jackpot.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in Michigan in January 2021 by an Oakland County lottery club. The club won a $1.05 billion Mega Millions jackpot. That jackpot was the largest ever won in Michigan and the sixth largest in U.S. lottery history.

Powerball LogoThe Powerball jackpot currently stands at $366 million for Saturday’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $189 million. If a player wins Saturday’s Powerball jackpot, it would be the second largest Powerball jackpot won this year. The Powerball jackpot was last won in April, when one ticket purchased in Ohio matched the five white balls and the Powerball to win a $252.6 million jackpot.

The last Michigan player to win a Powerball jackpot was Cristy Davis, of Waterford. Davis won the game’s $70 million jackpot on Feb. 12, 2020.

Players have plenty of time to purchase tickets for both drawings. Lottery retailers throughout the state are selling Mega Millions tickets until 10:45 p.m. tonight. Mega Millions drawings take place each Tuesday and Friday evening. Each Mega Millions play is only $2. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Michigan Lottery Offices Closed in Observance of Juneteenth

Juneteenth graphicIn observance of Juneteenth, the Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing and all Lottery regional offices located in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Livonia, Saginaw, and Sterling Heights will be closed on Monday, June 19.

All regularly scheduled drawings will take place on Monday.

The bank claim centers that the Michigan Lottery has teamed up with may have office hours on Monday, however, they won’t be able to process claims, because the Lottery offices will be closed.

All Lottery offices will reopen on Tuesday at 7:45 am.
