LANSING, December 6, 2006 – A very lucky East Lansing woman was in “disbelief” when she matched all five numbers in the November 29 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The own pick ticket was worth a whopping $193,711!  The winner said she used numbers from a fortune cookie to pick her numbers.

The winner and her family plan to use the money for Christmas and to pay bills.

The winning ticket was purchased at Willow Lakes Party Store, 7113 E. Saginaw St., in East Lansing.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.

"Celebration" for big winner

LANSING, December 6, 2006 – Gary Downing is a very luck man!  He scratched a winning Holiday Celebration ticket worth $10,000!

The Clinton Township man “couldn’t believe it” when he scratched the winning ticket.  He has been playing the Lottery for 15 years and this is his largest win to date.

He plans to use the prize money to pay bills.  The winning ticket was purchased at 7-11 #13452, 37195 S. Grossbeck Hwy., in Clinton Township.

"Super Red" win for longtime payer

LANSING, December 6, 2006 – A very lucky Lansing woman is $10,000 richer after she scratched a winning Super Red Bingo ticket.

Barbara Childs, who has been playing the Lottery since 1972, said she plans to use the money to pay for her new bedroom set.

She purchased the lucky ticket at Paramount News Center, 121 S. Washington Sq., in Lansing.

Durand woman claims $200,000

LANSING, December 6, 2006 – A very lucky lady claimed $200,000 after scratching a winning Instant Action ticket.

The player, who chose to remain anonymous, said she’s been playing Lottery Instant games for about six years.

She was “very surprised” and had to keep checking her ticket to be sure it was a winner.

The lucky lady and her husband have plans to invest the money for their retirement.  The winning ticket was purchased at Coffield Oil, 707 N. Saginaw St., in Durand.

Brooklyn couple claims prize

LANSING, December 6, 2006 – A very lucky longtime player claimed $379,439 after matching all five numbers in the November 20 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he checked his tickets for the week online and recognized “his” numbers on the screen.  The player always uses the same numbers based on his birth date, wedding date and the number of years the couple has been married.

The winner and his wife plan to use the money to buy a new car and make home improvements.
