LANSING, December 6, 2006 – A very lucky lady claimed $200,000 after scratching a winning Instant Action ticket.
The player, who chose to remain anonymous, said she’s been playing Lottery Instant games for about six years.
She was “very surprised” and had to keep checking her ticket to be sure it was a winner.
The lucky lady and her husband have plans to invest the money for their retirement. The winning ticket was purchased at Coffield Oil, 707 N. Saginaw St., in Durand.
Instant Action is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
