Ubly man gets lucky with stocking stuffer

LANSING, January 5, 2007 – A very lucky Military man, who was home from Germany for Christmas, scratched off a $40,000,000 Spectacular ticket and won a $10,000 prize!

The lucky Instant ticket was purchased by Robert Trea’s father-in-law as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. Trea plans to invest the prize money for his daughter’s education.

The winning ticket was purchased at Village Mini Market, 4497 N. Washington St., in Ubly.

Clawson man wins $10,000 Club Keno prize

LANSING, January 5, 2007 – A lucky Clawson man won $10,000 when he matched nine of 10 Club Keno numbers on Dec. 22. 

The normal prize payout for matching nine numbers is $5,000, but Howard Airpriess bet $2 a draw, doubling his total prize.

The regular Lottery player was excited when the numbers from his “own pick” ticket came up on the screen. The 59-year-old has no immediate plans for the prize money.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Renshaw Lounge, 210 E. 14 Mile Rd., in Clawson.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

Fantasy 5 jackpot split – first portion claimed

LANSING, January 4, 2007 – The first half of the Dec. 27, 2006 Fantasy 5 jackpot was claimed this morning. A very lucky anonymous man cashed in his easy pick ticket worth $52,500.

The winner purchased the ticket at Augusta Shell #1030, 101 E. Michigan Ave., in Augusta.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

First $1 million raffle prize claimed by Brownstown couple

LANSING, January 4, 2007 – Janet Cavazos and her husband Manuel are a very lucky couple! The long time Lottery players matched all numbers for a $1 million win in the Jan. 3 Millionaire Raffle game.

Manuel saw the live drawing on WDIV-TV 4 on Jan. 3 and wrote all winning $1 million raffle numbers down. To his shock and surprise, he wrote his winning number – 296245 – down on his cheat sheet two separate times; missing one lucky winning number completely. After discovering that his ticket won the huge prize, he told Lottery officials that “everything has been a blur!”

The couple plan to use their prize money on investments, paying bills, helping their children and a taking a trip to Hawaii.
