A Kent County woman is looking forward to living stress-free after winning $1 million playing the Michigan Lottery’s $1,000,000 Bonus Scratch Multiplier instant game!

“I buy a lottery ticket almost every day, and typically buy my tickets at all different stores,” said the lucky 58-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I scratched my $1,000,000 Bonus Scratch Multiplier ticket when I got home from the store, and when I saw I’d won $1 million, I screamed so loud that I scared my son!

“It is such a relief to win a big prize like this. It means no more stress and is going to make life easier. It will also allow my son and I to have a little fun!”

The player bought her winning ticket at Aikan Liquor, located at 1640 44th Street Southeast in Kentwood. She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. She chose to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $693,000 rather than annuity payments for the full amount. She plans to save her winnings.

Players have won more than $16 million playing $1,000,000 Bonus Scratch Multiplier, which launched in February. Each $10 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $1 million. More than $29 million in prizes remain, including two $1 million top prizes, 13 $10,000 prizes, and 106 $2,000 prizes.

In 2025, Lottery players won more than $1.7 billion playing instant games.
