The Michigan Lottery is making it easier than ever for players to cash tickets with an increase to the prize claim threshold at all Lottery retailers and increase to the redemption credit limit on self-serve lottery kiosks.

Beginning today, players may now redeem winning tickets up to $999.99 at retailers. Previously, retailers were authorized to redeem prizes up to $600. This improvement makes it easier for players to cash tickets at local stores and benefits retailers who receive a 2% commission for all winning tickets validated and paid at their store.

In addition to increasing the prize claim threshold for retailers, the maximum redemption credit limit on self-serve lottery kiosks has increased from $100 to $500. To redeem a winning ticket for credit at a Lottery self-service kiosk, players simply scan the barcode of their winning ticket at the machine. At self-serve lottery kiosks, players may purchase draw and instant games and redeem Michigan Lottery coupons.

Players who have won prizes ranging from $1,000 to $99,999.99 can schedule an appointment at one of the Lottery’s regional offices by calling 844-917-6325 or by scheduling an appointment online at MichiganLottery.com/claims-appointment.

For claims of $100,000 or more, players should contact the Michigan Lottery’s Player Relations Division at 844-917-6325 to schedule an appointment to collect their prize.

Players who claim a prize of $2,000 or more at a Lottery Claim Center will receive a W-2G at the time of their claim. Previously, W-2G forms were issued for prizes of more than $600.

Lottery games may be purchased at any of the 10,500 retailers throughout the state.
