More Than $1.1 Billion Up For Grabs in Mega Millions and Powerball Jackpots This Weekend

Michigan Mega Millions and Powerball logo Michigan Lottery players have two chances to win big this weekend with huge Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots up for grabs!

The Mega Millions jackpot currently stands at $672 million for tonight’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $293.3 million. If a player wins tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot, it would be the third Mega Millions jackpot won this year. The jackpot is the tenth largest Mega Millions jackpot ever. Tonight’s drawing will be the 35th drawing since the jackpot was last won March 17 when one ticket purchased in Ohio won the $60 million jackpot.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in Michigan in January 2021 by an Oakland County lottery club. The club won a $1.05 billion Mega Millions jackpot. That jackpot was the largest ever won in Michigan.

The Powerball jackpot currently stands at $526 million for Saturday’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $233.5 million. If a player wins Saturday’s Powerball jackpot, it would be the sixth time the jackpot has been won in 2026, and it would also mark the largest Powerball jackpot won this year. Saturday’s drawing will be the 33rd drawing since the jackpot was last won May 2 when two tickets purchased in Florida and Texas split a $20 million jackpot.

The Powerball jackpot was last won in Michigan on Jan. 1, 2024, by a Mid-Michigan lottery club. The club won a $842.4 million Powerball jackpot with a ticket purchased in Grand Blanc. That jackpot is the largest Powerball prize ever won in Michigan.

Players have plenty of time to purchase tickets for both drawings. Lottery retailers throughout the state are selling Mega Millions tickets until 10:45 p.m. tonight. Powerball tickets may be purchased until 9:58 p.m. Saturday night. Tickets for both games also may be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com.

Mega Millions plays may be purchased for $5 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. Each wager includes a built-in multiplier that multiplies non-jackpot prizes up to 10 times to a maximum of $10 million. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Powerball ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $10 million in the nightly Double Play drawing.
