Macomb County Man Wins $100,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s $300,000,000 Extraordinaire Second Chance Game

Stack of $100 billsA Macomb County man was stunned when he received a voicemail from the Michigan Lottery informing him that he won a $100,000 prize playing the $300,000,000 Extraordinaire second chance game!

The 42-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, won $100,000 after he was selected in a random drawing that took place Oct. 29. He earned entries into the giveaway by scanning non-winning $300,000,000 Extraordinaire tickets on the Michigan Lottery app.

“When I got a voicemail from the Lottery informing me that I won a $100,000 second chance prize, I must have listened to it at least 12 times because I was so stunned,” said the player. “I had a hard time believing it was real until I confirmed the phone number on the Lottery website and found an email from the Lottery confirming my prize.

“It’s hard to explain the feeling of winning $100,000. You always dream of sitting in this room at the Lottery headquarters receiving a big check, so it’s pretty unbelievable to actually be here.”

The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to buy furniture for his new house and pay bills.

Each non-winning $300,000,000 Extraordinaire ticket is eligible for a second chance to win a $100,000 prize. Players can enter by scanning their non-winning $300,000,000 Extraordinaire tickets on the Michigan Lottery mobile app ticket scanner by May 2, 2025. Seven more second chance drawings will be conducted. Each drawing will award two $100,000 prizes.

Players can visit MichiganLottery.com/secondchance50 for complete game rules and drawing dates. The next drawing is scheduled for Nov. 26.
