More Than $1.7 Billion Up For Grabs in Mega Millions and Powerball Jackpots This Weekend

Mega Millions and PowerballThe Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots keep on climbing and are giving players a shot at more than $1.7 billion this weekend!

The Mega Millions jackpot stands at $977 million for tonight’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $467 million. If a player wins tonight’s jackpot, it would be the first Mega Millions jackpot won this year, and the sixth largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won.

Tonight’s drawing will be the 30th drawing since the Mega Millions jackpot was last won Dec. 8, when two tickets purchased in California split the $394 million jackpot. Since the jackpot run began Dec. 12, Michigan Lottery players have won more than $5.2 million in prizes, including two prizes of $1 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in Michigan in January 2021 by an Oakland County lottery club. The club won a $1.05 billion Mega Millions jackpot. That jackpot was the largest ever won in Michigan and the sixth largest in U.S. lottery history.

The Powerball jackpot stands at $750 million for Saturday’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $360.8 million. If a player wins Saturday’s jackpot, it would be the second Powerball jackpot won this year.

Saturday’s drawing will be the 35th drawing since the jackpot was last won Jan. 1 when one ticket purchased in Michigan won the $842.2 million jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased at the Food Castle of Grand Blanc, located at 3035 East Grand Blanc Road in Grand Blanc. The huge jackpot has yet to be claimed. The lucky winner should contact the Lottery’s Player Relations Division at 844-917-6325 to set up an appointment to claim their prize.

Since the Powerball jackpot run began Jan. 3, Michigan Lottery players have won more than $5.4 million in prizes, including two $1 million prizes.
