Livingston County Man Wins $100,000 Playing the Michigan Lottery’s $300,000,000 Diamond Riches Second Chance Game

Winner GraphicA Livingston County man is one step closer to retirement after winning a $100,000 prize playing the Michigan Lottery’s $300,000,000 Diamond Riches Second Chance game.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, won $100,000 after he was selected in a random drawing that took place on Oct. 12. He earned entries into the giveaway by scanning non-winning $300,000,000 Diamond Riches tickets on the Michigan Lottery app.

“While I was at work, I received an email from the Lottery notifying me that I’d won a $100,000 second chance prize” said the 61-year-old player. “I was a little skeptical and thought it was likely a scam email, so I showed some of my coworkers the email to get their thoughts. One of my coworkers said he had won a $500 prize in the drawing, so we compared our emails and that’s when I knew it was real. I was in complete shock!”

The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. He plans to save his winnings for retirement.

Each non-winning $300,000,000 Diamond Riches ticket is eligible for a second chance to win a prize ranging from $500 up to $100,000. Players can enter by scanning their non-winning tickets on the Michigan Lottery mobile app ticket scanner by Nov. 13, 2022. One more second chance drawing will be conducted. Each drawing awards:

  • One winner of $100,000
  • Five winners of $10,000
  • Twenty winners of $1,000
  • Sixty winners of $500

Players can visit MichiganLottery.com/DiamondRiches for complete game rules and drawing dates. The final drawing is scheduled for Nov. 16.
