An Oakland County woman couldn’t believe her eyes when she won $300,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Wild Time Deluxe instant game.

The lucky 65-year-old player, who close to remain anonymous, purchased her winning ticket at Rick’s Party Store, located at 511 Heights Road in Lake Orion.

“I don’t play instant games often, but every now and then I like to purchase a Wild Time ticket,” said the player. “I scratched my ticket when I got home and couldn’t believe what I was seeing when I revealed the prize amount of $300,000. I called my husband right away and told him he needed to come home because I had big news to share. We were both so excited!”

The player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim her prize. She plans to save her winnings.

Players have won more than $45 million playing Wild Time Deluxe which launched in April 2021. Each $5 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $300,000. More than $20 million in prizes remain, including one $300,000 top prize, six $25,000 prizes, and 21 $2,500 prizes.

Lottery instant games may be purchased at any of the 10,500 retailers across the state.

In 2021, Lottery players won more than $1.8 billion playing instant games.
