An Oakland County woman had to take a walk after winning $500,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Wild Time Supreme instant game.
The 55-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket at the 7-Eleven store, located at 22323 Middlebelt Road in Farmington Hills.
“I like to play instant games with family, and Wild Time has always been a favorite of mine,” said the player. “I stopped to grab a drink at 7-Eleven and bought one Wild Time Supreme ticket.
“I got home, started reading my book, and totally forgot I had a ticket to scratch. I grabbed the ticket and scratched it off. When I saw I had won $500,000, I didn’t believe it! I sat the ticket down and took a walk to clear my head.”
The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters to claim her big prize. With her winnings, she plans to pay bills and then save the remainder for retirement.
Players have won more than $22 million playing Wild Time Supreme, which launched in June. Each $10 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $500,000. More than $33 million in prizes remain, including one $500,000 top-prizes, 76 $10,000 prizes, and 140 $1,000 prizes.
Lottery instant games may be purchased at 10,500 retailers across the state.
In 2020, Lottery players won more than $1.5 billion playing instant games.
