The Michigan Lottery urges players and retailers to follow Governor Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe order and observe social distancing guidelines.
Players are urged to only purchase tickets at retail locations if they are already there purchasing food, fuel, or other necessary items. When at a retail location, please observe social distancing, do not congregate, and remember that the measures being taken by retailers are for everyone’s safety.
On April 1, 2020, the Lottery issued a communication to all retailers directing retailers to cease Lottery sales if unable to follow all requirements of the Stay Home, Stay Safe order. Additionally, retailers are not required to sell Lottery tickets and may request deactivation of their equipment without penalty. Retailers also may accept credit and debit for lottery transactions, and many do.
Players also may play many Lottery games online at MichiganLottery.com. For players who have winning tickets purchased in stores, prizes may be claimed by mail. For more information on the claim process, click here.
