A Saginaw County woman plans to buy her brother a new car after winning $500,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Winter Winnings instant game.
The player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought the winning ticket at the Westside Party Shoppe, located at 119 North Hamilton Street in Saginaw.
The 53-year-old player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to buy her brother a car and then save the remainder.
Players have won more than $8 million playing Winter Winnings, which launched in December 2019. Each $5 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $500,000. More than $8 million in prizes remain, including one $500,000 top prize and four $1,000 prizes.
