Ludington Woman Wins $550,000 on Michigan Lottery’s The Big Spin Show

A call from an unknown number led to a Ludington woman winning $550,000 on the Michigan Lottery’s The Big Spin show.

Lori Klug, 57, won the big prize after spinning the prize wheel on The Big Spin show hosted by Detroit basketball champion John Salley. Klug was selected to participate in the show after entering non-winning The Big Spin tickets at

“I ignored a couple of phone calls from a number I didn’t recognize,” said Klug. “I listened to the messages and I was still skeptical that I was selected to be on the show. When I called the woman back, it took some convincing before I believed her.

“I was so excited to come and spin the wheel. When it landed on $550,000 I felt a huge rush! This means so much for my family and me. We are planning to get a new boat to enjoy fishing together and we had an exchange student a while ago we’ve been wanting to go visit them and now we’ll be able to!”

Klug was one of five players selected for the Big Spin show by a random drawing. Fifteen more players will be selected to participate on The Big Spin show. Additional second chance drawings for The Big Spin are scheduled to take place on Thursday, Oct. 31, and Jan. 2, 2020.

Twenty players will be selected to appear on the Lottery’s The Big Spin televised events, which will air shortly after evening Lottery drawings. Players may submit non-winning The Big Spin ticket Spin Codes at By entering codes, players will earn entries for the drawings for the opportunity to appear on television and spin the big wheel.
