Beginner’s luck paid off for a Wayne County woman who won $100,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Diamond Payout instant game online.

“I created a Lottery account so that I could win the $5,000 Spin To Win prize,” said the player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I had been spinning the wheel every day, and then I decided to try my luck at some of the online games.

“I don’t have a favorite game and skip around playing a little of everything. It just so happened that I won big on Diamond Payout. I was talking on the phone with my son while I was playing and when I won, I had to tell him to stop talking because I was trying to make sense of what I was seeing on my computer screen!”

The 55-year-old player visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to invest and then complete some home projects in the coming years.

“I can’t explain this feeling other than to say I am very fortunate,” the player said.
