An Ottawa County man’s bank account will be getting a weekly boost for the next 12 months because he won the Michigan Lottery’s Cash for a Year Giveaway.

Nick Rouwhorst, of Zeeland, will receive $500 a week for a year after winning the Cash for a Year Giveaway.

Rouwhorst was selected in a random drawing earlier this month. He earned entries into the giveaway at MichiganLottery.com. The Cash For A Year Giveaway was open to new online players and first time depositers.

Michigan Lottery players have a chance to win up to $500,000 instantly playing online. Players also may win prizes ranging from $1 up to multimillion dollar jackpots playing Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 online. Through its online platform, the Lottery offers players more than 50 different games with plays ranging in price from 5 cents to $20.
