The 38-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, won the big prize when his Super Raffle number –162061– was selected as a $100,000 winner in the Oct. 3, 2018 drawing. He bought his winning ticket at the Harper Creek Shell, located at 7586 B Drive North in Battle Creek.
“I wanted to try my luck at the Super Raffle game, so my wife and I stopped to get a ticket one night,” said the player. “The day after the drawing I was checking my raffle numbers online at work. When I realized I was one of the $100,000 winners, I just sat there I awe. I still don’t know what to think about it, it doesn’t seem real.”
The winner visited Lottery headquarters Thursday to claim the big prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills and take his family on a trip to Florida.
