Until he sees the money in his bank account, a Bay County won’t believe he won a $154,303 Jackpot Slots Fast Cash progressive jackpot.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at John’s Bar and Party Store, located at 1476 South Tuscola Road in Munger.
“I was having drinks with friends and as we were finishing up, I decided to buy a few Jackpot Slots tickets,” said the 68-year-old player. “They left, and I went up to the bar and bought five tickets.
“As I was glancing at them, I noticed the jackpot amount at the top changed from $154,303 to $10,000 so I knew something was up. I handed the tickets to the bartender and when she started hooting and hollering I knew I had won big!”
The player visited Lottery headquarters on Tuesday to claim his prize. He plans to use his winnings for his retirement.
“I worked in the auto industry and lost most of my retirement during the recession. Winning this is a definite relief for me,” the player said.
