A Macomb County woman was brought to tears after winning a $300,000 prize playing Double Bonus Cashword.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket at Nick’s Party Store, located at 19070 Cass Avenue in Clinton Township.
“After I scratched the ticket and realized I had matched 10 words, I wrote them all down on a piece of paper and then checked the call letters box again,” said the 50-year-old player. “After I confirmed I won, I started sobbing.”
The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to buy a new home.
“Winning is life changing for me. This takes so much stress off of everyday life,” said the player.
Players have won more than $19 million playing Double Bonus Cashword, which launched in August 2017.
Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.
