A Macomb County man was shocked beyond belief after winning $250,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s KENO! game.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched 10 of the 22 numbers drawn March 2. His winning numbers were: 04-19-21-34-39-40-60-69-73-77. He bought his winning ticket at the Grape Vine Wine Shoppe, located at 8230 15 Mile Road in Sterling Heights.

“I started buying multi-draw tickets a little while ago, so I don’t check them every day,” said the player. “When I did check my ticket and saw I had a jackpot winner I was shocked. Well, shocked is really an understatement, I don’t have words for how I felt.”

The 57-year-old player visited Lottery headquarters on Wednesday to claim the big prize. He plans to help some family and friends with his good fortune, and then save the remainder.

KENO! tickets may be purchased for $1. Players select 10 numbers from one to 80 for a chance to win prizes ranging from a free instant ticket up to $250,000. Drawings for the game take place at 7:30 p.m. seven days a week.
