An Oakland County man couldn’t believe his eyes when he won $100,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Tax Free game online.

“I had been on a hot streak playing online lately and had about $300 in my account,” said the player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I was on a break at work, and decided to play the Tax Free game.

“I saw a screen flash on my phone that said I had won $100,000, but I was sure I wasn’t reading it right. It wasn’t until I checked my account history that I believed I had won!”

The 46-year-old player visited Lottery headquarters Thursday to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay some bills.

“I feel so blessed to win. This will definitely make things easier for me. I won’t be living paycheck-to-paycheck any more,” the player said.

Michigan Lottery players have a chance to win up to $500,000 instantly playing online. Players also may win prizes ranging from $1 up to multimillion dollar jackpots playing Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 online. Through its online platform, the Lottery offers players more than 50 different games with plays ranging in price from 5 cents to $20.
