A Sanilac County man is looking forward to a more comfortable retirement after winning a $325,101 Fantasy 5 jackpot.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the numbers drawn Nov. 9 to win the big prize: 01-12-21-37-39. He bought his winning ticket at the Pilot Travel Center, located at 3475 East Washington in Saginaw.

“I’ve been playing the same numbers for about a year,” said the player. “When I saw the numbers that night on TV, I thought they looked familiar. I double checked them on my phone just to be sure before I began celebrating.”

The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters Wednesday to claim his big prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills, and then save the remainder.

“Winning makes me feel like a puppy in its first snow! It’s shocking, but it’s great to know my wife and I will have a more comfortable retirement,” the player said.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. Tonight’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is $100,000.
