A Wayne County man had to ask a friend to confirm he’d won a $119,526 progressive jackpot playing the Michigan Lottery’s Wild Time Progressive Fast Cash game.
The lucky 35-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at the Onyx Market, located at 10850 West 9 Mile Road in Oak Park.
“I looked over my ticket really quick and thought I’d won, so I handed it to my friend,” said the player. “He looked it over and said: ‘You won something big!’
“I got really excited and then we both grabbed our phones to figure out how much of the progressive jackpot I had won.”
The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters Tuesday to claim his $119,526 prize.
“It’s really exciting to win, I’ve never felt so lucky,” the player said, adding he plans to save his windfall.
Fast Cash games are a series of instant-win games that print from terminals at Lottery retailers. Fast Cash tickets range in price from $1 per play up to $10 per play, and feature popular game themes, including Cashword and Wild Time.
