A Lenawee County woman didn’t sleep after winning a $179,546 Fantasy 5 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the numbers drawn Saturday to win the big prize: 08-12-18-19-20. She bought her winning ticket at Clarks Corner, located at 2512 Hunt Road in Adrian.

“I thought the winning numbers looked familiar,” said the 69-year-old player. “I checked my ticket and was stunned to see I was the winner.

“I woke my husband up to tell him that I had hit the jackpot and he thought I was joking. I don’t think either of us slept the rest of the weekend.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters on Monday to claim her prize. With her winnings, she plans to complete some home improvements and possibly buy a new car.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. Tonight’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is $105,000.
