An Oakland County woman is celebrating after winning a $147,186 jackpot playing the Michigan Lottery’s new Jackpot Slots Fast Cash game.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket on July 30 at the Simon Market, located at 25825 West 6 Mile Road in Redford.
“I decided to give the Jackpot Slots game a try,” said the player. “On my first ticket, I won $50. I bought a second ticket and won $10. Then on my third ticket I hit the jackpot!”
The player was in shock after seeing three treasure chest symbols on the last play line of her ticket.
“I looked down the ticket, and when I saw I had the three matching symbols, I just couldn’t believe it,” said the player. “I asked my husband to verify what I was seeing, and he took the ticket to the Lottery’s Livonia office and they confirmed I had won big!”
The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters Wednesday to claim her prize. She is planning to share her winnings with her family.
“I still dream of winning big. Winning a huge jackpot and being able to retire is the reason I play,” the player said.
Fast Cash games, launched July 10, are a new series of instant-win games that print from terminals at Lottery retailers. Fast Cash tickets range in price from $1 per play up to $10 per play, and feature popular game themes, including Cashword and Wild Time.
Fast Cash games also offer a progressive jackpot that can be won instantly. Every Fast Cash ticket gives players a chance to win all or part of the progressive jackpot.
All of the Fast Cash games feed into one jackpot, which grows with every ticket purchased. The current jackpot amount prints on each ticket, so players always will know the amount of the jackpot up for grabs. The jackpot may be won at any time. As soon as the jackpot is hit, a new one starts again.
Available Fast Cash games are:
- Bowling Bucks – Each $1 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $1 up to $100 and 10 percent of the Fast Cash progressive jackpot.
