An Ann Arbor man tracked the Fantasy 5 numbers for weeks before selecting five lucky digits that led to him winning a $110,014 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the numbers drawn on May 26 – 04-12-24-34-39 – to win the big prize. He bought his winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.

“I had been watching the Fantasy 5 numbers come in for a couple weeks and tried playing different combinations,” said the player. “I won a few small prizes, but my strategy paid off big when I matched all five.

“I got an email from the Lottery alerting me to the big win and that’s when I started getting really excited!”

The player visited Lottery headquarters Tuesday to claim his big prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay some bills. He also plans to continue playing Lottery games.

“Winning certainly gives me some breathing room and is a huge relief for my wife and me. Winning is very satisfying,” the player said.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. Tonight’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is $120,000.
