A Michigan Lottery player who racked up two big wins in less than three months is ready to claim the title of luckiest woman in Jackson County.

The player, who chose to remain anonymous, won $60,000 playing VIP Black online Tuesday. In January, she won $2 million playing the Lottery’s $2,000,000 Bonus instant game. She bought that winning ticket at the Marathon gas station, located at 8037 Spring Arbor Road in Spring Arbor.

“I’ve got to be the luckiest woman in Jackson County,” said the player. “I’m just still in awe that I won another huge Lottery prize.

“VIP Black is my favorite online game. Since I’m retired now, I have some spare time and decided to play the game Tuesday afternoon. I hit for $60,000 on the first number of my third ticket.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters Wednesday to claim her big prize. She plans to save her winnings and continue to enjoying retirement with her husband.

“This really has been the most amazing year for me. It’s like a big fat dream and I don’t want to wake up,” she said.

Michigan Lottery players have a chance to win up to $500,000 instantly playing online. Players also may win prizes ranging from $1 up to multimillion dollar jackpots playing Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 online. Through its online platform, the Lottery offers players more than 40 different games with plays ranging in price from 5 cents to $20.
