A Saginaw man thought his eyes were playing tricks on him when he checked his Club Keno The Jack ticket and saw he’d won $92,081.
LaVern Hall, Jr., 71, won the big prize when his easy pick The Jack numbers – 18-33-41-45-50-59-62-73 -– matched eight of the 20 Club Keno numbers drawn in draw 1381067 Tuesday. He bought his winning ticket at Dollar Bargain, located at 3787 North Michigan Avenue in Saginaw.
“I had to check my ticket three times before I believed what I was seeing,” said Hall. “I still thought I might be reading the ticket wrong, so I took it to a retailer and they confirmed that I had won big.”
Hall visited Lottery headquarters Wednesday to claim the big prize. With his winnings, he plans to buy his daughter a boat, take a vacation, and share the remainder with his family.
“Winning so much is still sinking in, I really just can’t believe it,” Hall said.
The Jack is a Club Keno add-on game that players may add to their Club Keno wager for as little as $1 per draw. With The Jack, players get eight easy pick numbers to match to the Club Keno numbers drawn. Players may win prizes ranging from $1 to the jackpot. The jackpot starts at $10,000 and grows until it is won. To win the jackpot, players must match all eight numbers.
Club Keno may be played at the 11,000 Lottery retailers across the state. Drawings take place every three and a half minutes. Results and live drawings may be found online at http://www.michiganlottery.com.
In 2015, Lottery players won about $380.7 million playing Club Keno, The KICKER, and The Jack.
