Luck struck again for a Clare County woman who won a Fantasy 5 jackpot for the second time in two years.

The lucky woman, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the five Fantasy 5 number drawn on Wednesday – 03-11-29-32-37 – to win the game’s $559,087 jackpot. She bought her winning ticket at the Next Door Store, located at 493 East Main Street in Farwell.

On Sept. 8, 2014, the lucky player matched the Fantasy 5 numbers drawn – 09-16-21-29-31 – to win a $336,422 jackpot. She bought that winning ticket at the Red’s Oakridge Party Store, located at 2405 West Ludington Drive in Farwell.

“It’s unbelievable to win the Fantasy 5 jackpot for a second time,” said the player. “I was talking to a friend on the phone, when the numbers were displayed on TV. When I realized I had matched all five numbers, I just hung the phone up and began calling for my husband to come to the living room.

“He thought something was wrong by the sound of my voice. When he walked into the room, I was standing right in front of the TV looking at my ticket. He knew right away why I had called for him and he said ‘You did not win Fantasy 5 again!’”

After a lot of celebrating and laughter, the winner and her husband tried to get some sleep, but couldn’t.

“For some, reason even though we were celebrating, it still felt like a dream,” said the player. “It wasn’t until I saw where the winning ticket was purchased that it really sank in that I had won the jackpot again.”

The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters today with her husband to claim her prize. With her winnings, she plans to take her husband on a special trip for their 20th anniversary in the spring and then save the remainder.

“I’ve been really, really lucky, there is no doubt about it,” said the player. “The first jackpot helped us buy a new home and vehicles and just live a little more comfortably and I’m going to spend this one wisely too.”
