An Oakland County man looking for a change from casino games found himself winning a $240,814 Club Keno The Jack prize from the Michigan Lottery.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, won the big prize when his easy pick The Jack numbers – 25-30-38-51-52-53-68-69 -– matched eight of the 20 Club Keno numbers drawn in draw 1345953 Thursday. He bought his winning ticket at the BP gas station, located at 6480 Sashabaw in Clarkston.
The player’s big win came on only the fourth time he played the Club Keno game.
“I would recommend The Jack to everyone,” said the player. “The extra money is worth it for a bigger return.”
The lucky player visited Lottery headquarters today to claim his prize. With his winnings he plans to start an investment account.
The Jack is a Club Keno add-on game that players may add to their Club Keno wager for as little as $1 per draw. With The Jack, players get eight easy pick numbers to match to the Club Keno numbers drawn. Players may win prizes ranging from $1 to the jackpot. The jackpot starts at $10,000 and grows until it is won. To win the jackpot, players must match all eight numbers.
Club Keno may be played at the 11,000 Lottery retailers across the state. Drawings are every three and a half minutes. Results and live drawings may be found online at http://www.michiganlottery.com.
In 2015, Lottery players won about $380.7 million playing Club Keno, The KICKER, and The Jack.
