A Wayne County woman plans to help others anonymously after winning $2 million playing the Michigan Lottery’s Ultimate Millions instant game.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket at the Sundry Shop, located at 35000 Warren Road in Westland.
The winner visited Lottery headquarters Tuesday to claim her big prize. She chose to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $1.3 million rather than an annuity.
In addition to helping others, the lucky winner plans to travel and improve her golf game.
Players have won more than $43.6 million playing Ultimate Millions, which launched in September 2015. Each $20 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $20 up to $2 million. More than $33.3 million in prizes remain, including 31 $5,000 prizes, and 538 $1,000 prizes.
Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.
In 2015, Lottery players won more than $722.1 million playing instant games.
