03.02.16 IG 716 $1 million Anonymous Genesee CountyA Genesee County woman is going house hunting after winning $1 million playing the Michigan Lottery’s $1,000,000 Spectacular instant game.

First, the 40-year-old winner will have to get over the shock and excitement of winning the big prize.  “I’m still shaking,” she said Wednesday while claiming the prize at Lottery headquarters.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, bought the winning $10 ticket at Al & Jerry’s Market, which is located at 7110 N. Saginaw Street in Mount Morris.

The winner chose to receive her prize in a one-time lump sum payment of $634,517, rather than a 30-year annuity. She said buying a new house is at the top of her list of things to do with the prize money.

The $1,000,000 Spectacular instant game was launched on Feb. 3, 2015.  About $10.7 million in prizes remain for the $10 game, including 22 $10,000 prizes and 457 $1,000 prizes.

Lottery instant game tickets may be purchased at retailers around the state.
