The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at the Airport Road Shell, located at 2545 Airport Road in Jackson.
The player visited Lottery headquarters on Wednesday to collect the big prize. He chose to take his prize as a one-time lump sum cash payment of about $635,000 rather than an annuity.
With winnings, the player plans to buy a house, pay for his wedding, and make some investments.
Players have won nearly $2.6 million playing Hot Riches, which launched last week. Each $10 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $1 million. More than $69 million in prizes remain in the Hot Riches game, including two $1 million top prizes, 32 $50,000 prizes, and 1,363 $1,000 prizes.
Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.
