It was business as usual for a Cheboygan County man, who learned he won $100,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot during his regular Saturday morning trip to get coffee.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the winning numbers drawn in Friday’s Fantasy 5 drawing: 02-04-06-10-17. He bought his ticket at Schultz’s Party Store, located at 12965 Shann Road, in Wolverine.

“My day started like any other, I went to get my morning coffee and check my Lottery tickets,” said the player. “First, I checked my Mega Millions ticket and didn’t win anything. When I checked my Fantasy 5 ticket the scanner said to see the clerk. When we both realized I had won the jackpot, I told him that I wanted my prize in all singles!”

The player visited Lottery headquarters in Lansing on Monday to collect his big prize.

With his winnings, he plans to buy a few items for his home and save the remainder.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. Tonight’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is $110,000.
