A Mason County man has won $1 million playing the Michigan Lottery’s $1,000,000 Jackpot game.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the number 27 on his ticket to win the big prize. He bought his lucky ticket at J’s Country Store, located at 1860 North Lakeshore Drive in Ludington.
The player chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum cash payment of $634,529 rather than an annuity. With his winnings, he plans to start an investment account.
Players have won more than $9 million playing $1,000,000 Jackpot, which launched in August. Each $10 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $1 million. More than $26.5 million in prizes remain, including one $1 million prize, 50 $10,000 prizes, and 120 $1,000 prizes.
Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.
