Noon Update: $1 Million Mega Millions Prize from Grand Rapids Retailer Remains Unclaimed

Time is money. Inflation. Hourglass and dollar.As of noon, a $1 million Mega Millions prize remains unclaimed. If the big prize is not claimed by 4:45 p.m. today it will go to the School Aid Fund!

The winning ticket was sold at the CVS Pharmacy, located at 727 28th Street Southeast in Grand Rapids.

The ticket matched the first five winning numbers drawn – 25-28-36-45-53 – for the Aug. 5, 2014 Mega Millions drawing.

Mega Millions tickets are valid for one year from the drawing date.

If anyone discovers they have the winning ticket, they immediately should contact the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237. The lucky winner must claim their prize at Lottery headquarters in Lansing.

If the ticket holder does not come forward, it would be the first major prize to go unclaimed in 2015. In 2014, five major prizes went unclaimed adding more than $1 million to the Michigan School Aid Fund.
