There’s only a week left for the winner of a $1 million Mega Millions prize to claim the big pile of cash!

The winning ticket from the Aug. 5, 2014 drawing was sold at the CVS Pharmacy, located at 727 28th Street Southeast in Grand Rapids. The winning ticket matched the first five numbers drawn: 25-28-36-45-53.

Mega Millions tickets are valid for one year from the drawing date, so the prize must be claimed by 4:45 p.m. on Aug. 5. If the prize isn’t claimed before the ticket expires, the money will go to the state School Aid Fund.

The ticket holder should contact the Lottery’s Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim the prize! The prize must be claimed at Lottery headquarters in Lansing.

If the ticket holder does not come forward, it would be the first major prize to go unclaimed in 2015. In 2014, five major prizes went unclaimed adding more than $1 million to the Michigan School Aid Fund.
