An Oakland County woman is in shock after winning $500,000 in the Michigan Lottery’s $500,000 Cashword instant game.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, uncovered 10 words on her Cashword ticket to win one of the game’s $500,000 top prizes. She bought her winning ticket at the 7-Eleven, located at 1795 Scott Lake Road in Waterford.
With her winnings, the player plans to pay bills, including her mortgage, and put the remainder into savings.
The Cashword family of instant games is one of the most popular offered by the Lottery. The $500,000 Cashword game debuted in March 2014. More than $3.6 million in prizes remain in the game, including six $1,000 prizes.
Cashword tickets may be purchased for $2, $3, $5 or $10 at retailers across the state.
